International Flute Competition Spring 2013

American Protégé International Flute Competition  2013 was designed for solo performers and ensembles of all ages, nationalities and countries, who would like to challenge themselves in a very competitive environment. Participants were required to submit video or audio recording materials for the audition.

Eligibility


 

We invite school students and adults to participate in the Competition. There is no age limit for the adult participants.

Multiple winners will be chosen in each of the following age groups:

Jagoda Krzeminska was born in 1996 in Kluczbork, in Poland. When she was 8 years old she started playing flute in I Stage Music School in Kluczbork in class of Agata Napp-Urbanska. From 2006  she is learning in the class of mgr Karina Kandzia-Maniak. She took part in several flute courses and flute competitions (2007 – III prize, 2008 – II prize in Sochaczew, 2006 and 2007 – II prize, 2008 – I prize in Olawa, 2008 I prize in Confrontations of Young Musicians in Chrzanow;  and in 2009 she was the winner of Grand Prix in competitions in  Olawa, Cracow and Sochaczew. In April 2010 she won the I prize in “Konjovic Peter” International Competition in Belgrad. Her achivements in 2011 are first prizes in British Flute Society School Performer Class A Competition in London, Polish Flute Competition SANKYO 2011, IV Flute Competition in Sosnowiec and X Polish Spring Flute Competition Sochaczew. In 2012 she won First prize in International Music Competition Svirel (Slovenia) and was the winner of the Competition of Young Musicians of the Year in Poland. Ms. Krzeminska was among seven finalists of Eurovision Young Musicians in Wien. In 2013 she got the first prize in British Flute Society School Competition in London. She took part in masterclasses  of  Sir James Galway and Wiliam Benett, Dejan Gavric.

Tu Lin, 33, from Wuhan, China. Graduated from Belarus Academy of Music under the tuition of Prof. N.V. Avlamenko. She enjoys a diverse career as orchestral musician, soloist, and teacher. She is currently the flute teacher of Wuhan Conservatory of Music and flutist of the Oriental Symphony Orchestra. Tu Lin has presented solo recitals and performances in prestigious venues across China, including Huangshi Grand Opera Hall, Qintai Concert Hall, Yueyang Cultural & Artistic Convention & Exhibition Center, Series Bells Music Hall of Wuhan conservatory of Music and etc. In recent years, Tu Lin has focused on further developing her career and became more deeply connected with life, people, music, and the flute.
