International Piano and Strings Competition 2009

American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2009 was extremely successful musical event, which attracted applicants and participants from the US, China, Korea, England, France, Canada, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Armenia and Costa Rica. The Competition Recitals were held at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center. The program for all Winners Recitals is available at this link

Dr. Sophya Genis was invited as a  Chairwoman of the Competition 2009. A graduate of the Moscow Gnessin Academy of Music, Ms. Genis holds a Doctor of Music Arts Degree. She studied piano with such renowned professors as Alexander Yoheles, Yakov Milstein and Yakov Zak.
